I don't like it. It feels like fake money, and the change machine downstairs doesn't like it (which seems to be a problem with all of the machines). Now I read today there's a new nickel coming our way - can't they just leave well enough alone?

it should probably save the country hundreds of millions if not billions in counterfits.
But yeah it doesn't work in any vending machines which pisses me off. I can't do laundry

I know the counterfeiting issue is basically why they keep changing it, but rather than make it more complex to fake, why not just come up with a new kind of currency?
I think Australia or some other country uses plastic as currency - and is nearly impossible to counterfeit.

you need 20 dollars worth of quarters to do laundry?????? my change thing only takes 1s and 5s. but yeah, i find it pretty annoying that they keep changing the money. and does it save that much in counterfeiting more than they spend to put out the new money. they spent millions just on telling people about the new 20s. we did get a bunch of fake 20s at a party once though, one of the bartenders got fired over that.

I only get my money from ATMs. Which means I only get 20s. Which means that aside from $20s, I only have about $10 worth of other bills. And since 4 loads of laundry costs more than that, I need to use a $20, and the machine doesn't accept it.
I'd rather just put $40 on it and forget about it for a month.
