It's got some G-Shock protection and it's waterproof up to like 200 meters or something. Oh, and it's got a backlight which is all that really matters anyway.

So far this weekend has been sweet - tomorrow is gonna be even better (so I hear).

My fiance is buying me an HDTV for my birthday. The TV gets here Wednesday, but my birthday isn't for months.

These sort of gifts continue after we get married, right?

- GonzoStyle - 02-22-2004

Nice way to make goat feel good about his birthday present, showoff!!

- Goatweed - 02-22-2004

but when you get married, you're really buyin' it for yourself, since the cash comes outta the same account - unless you're one of those married couples that maintains separate bank accounts.

I got my HDTV right after the wedding.

Yeah, I felt bad about that for about eight seconds.

And we're definitely keeping separate bank accounts. She's anal and I'm lazy, and that's a good way to lead to spousal abuse.

she's anal? you got a good woman there, my friend.

- Mad - 02-22-2004

Is this the thread to wish Goatweed a happy birthday or do we have to wait until tomorrow?

- Goatweed - 02-22-2004

instead of wishes, feel free to send PayPal donations.

- Mad - 02-22-2004

Saving up for a Rolex?

- Goatweed - 02-22-2004

Movado, actually.

I want to get one of those watches that stores up energy from every day movements to make it work. I forgot what it was called...I think it's kenetic or something like that...

is clicking the QUOTE button so difficult?

- Gooch - 02-23-2004

Gills has fallen from grace????

- Goatweed - 02-23-2004

one would have to had achieved grace to fall from it.

I just think he prefers typing to clicking.

- PlasticMan - 02-23-2004

Stupid question of the day: don't you still have to close the quote tag (by typing in /quote)?

- Goatweed - 02-23-2004

Well if you manually type in the tags then yes - which it seemed he did since his close tag is [/quoite] - misspelled. If you simply click the QUOTE button there's no need to type out or worry about closing tags. It's quite amazing, you should try it sometime.

- PlasticMan - 02-23-2004

I always saw the open tag, and assumed I'd have to close it manually.

- The Jays - 02-23-2004

Actually, if you have copied and pasted the text, and then highlight it and click the quote button, it puts the tags at both ends.
