Steve Buscemi looks kinda silly in that oversized Don Johnson suit.

- drusilla - 02-23-2004

damn. i only saw the billboard. he does look a little out of place.

- Keyser Soze - 02-23-2004

i hope they dont try to make him a guinea

- QuickStop - 02-23-2004

yeah the suit reminded me of both don johnson and david byrne

- GonzoStyle - 02-23-2004

I'm actually quite intriguied by the fact Robert Loggia is in this season.

- Keyser Soze - 02-23-2004

and Billy Batts!!!!!

- GonzoStyle - 02-23-2004

No fuckin way!!

Frank Vincent is in it too? Oh man they're breakin out all the stops for this season, it's heads above the bail bondsman from Midnight Run doing soliliquies from Gladiator.

- Keyser Soze - 02-23-2004

i believe you are required by law to cast Frank Vincent in every mafia based work of fiction.

- GonzoStyle - 02-23-2004

Or non-fiction, don't forget he was in "Gotti" as well.

He played Frank Dibernardo.

Plus goodfellas and casino were also based on factual events and people.

Except a interesting tibbit is that joe pesci's character was actually killed by the Gotti crew.

- Keyser Soze - 02-23-2004

now go get your fucking shinebox

- PlasticMan - 02-23-2004

I'm about halfway through season two on DVD. Should I buy any after that? Should I even rent them?

- GonzoStyle - 02-23-2004

seasons three and four were eh, unless you are a hardcore fan or just a collector don't get it.

Rent it though just to see it so you are up to date on season 5.

Isnt there like a HBO Sopranos channel?

- GonzoStyle - 02-23-2004

Not that I know of.

- Keyser Soze - 02-23-2004

theres HBO on demand, where you can watch many older episodes whenever you want.

- Galt - 02-23-2004

how much is HBO on demand? I thought it was inclusive of my subscription of HBO since they never metioned price when I watched 6 episodes of Curb your enthusiasm this weekend.

- Keyser Soze - 02-23-2004

i dont believe you pay per episode, you have to have the premium HBO package. i wish direcTV had on demand, i'd save alot of room on my tivo.

- Galt - 02-23-2004

If HBO on demand is free, it is officially new favorite thing in the world.

- Keyser Soze - 02-23-2004

if every station had on demand, they could put tivo out of business.

The whole on-demand setup is amazing. With the movie channels, I really enjoy it more with HBO since they have a lot of the older episodes of not just their series like Sopranos and Curb, but they have all the documentaries and stuff like Autopsy, etc.

I've noticed a lot more movies available on Movies on Demand, and they're reasonably priced. New releases are $3.95 and older titles are $1.95 - which is a pretty good deal considering (I think) it's cheaper than blockbuster and you don't have to return anything. There are hundreds of movies available, and the tradeoff is sometimes you can see the same movie for free if it's beong offered on one of the movie channel's On Demand service as well.

I think I spend more time watching movies than actual TV programming.

They're also starting to add widescreen movies to their offering which is a bonus.
