- Arpikarhu - 10-14-2004

as is documented on this site, i have had gojira fever since day one.

- GonzoStyle - 10-14-2004

That sheffield ain't too shabby.

- The Jays - 10-14-2004

El Duque is pitching Game four. when was the last time he pitched a game?

- GonzoStyle - 10-14-2004

He's mint in the post season.

- The Jays - 10-14-2004

He better not be all sour and feeling shitty either. I wanna see that mother fucker kick up his leg and do a spin move, right before the umpire calls strike three and he moonwalks back to the dugout, and then strikes a pose and fireworks shoot off of the steeplechase.

- The Jays - 10-15-2004

Pedro is on Sportscentury, and he's sitting there with straightened hair and a polo shirt; he looks like a pimp

Quote:Especially without the best pitcher in baseball, it will take a miracle for the Sox to win this series.
I'd take Randy Johnson over Schilling any day of the week. Clemens could even be a better choice.

- Galt - 10-15-2004

Clemens isn't even a top 5 pitcher. Arguably not top 10.

Johnson over Schilling, fair point.

- Arpikarhu - 10-15-2004

i would take anyone over schilling. schilling has a bad ankle and cant pitch. silly boys.

- Galt - 10-15-2004

Arpi is correct. There I've said it.

Schilling is one of the worst pitchers in baseball right now.

- The Jays - 10-15-2004

Quote:Clemens isn't even a top 5 pitcher. Arguably not top 10.

Are you being serious about that?

- Galt - 10-15-2004

yes. It depends on what we are talking about. One game or for a season. For a season, I don't think many would take Clemens over at least 10 guys (including many who had a worse year than him)

For one game: Schilling, Pedro, RJ, Santana, Schmidt, probably Sheets, maybe Oliver Perez both of whom were absolute machines for horrible teams this year which killed their wins and fantasy value. And then you also have guys who are better than Clemens but were hurt for parts of this year: Prior, Wood, Mulder.

- The Jays - 10-15-2004

Clemens over both Pedro and Schilling.

- Arpikarhu - 10-15-2004

in a big game clemens over pedro, not schilling though. thats only recent pedro, not pedro past.

- GonzoStyle - 10-16-2004

past rocket over past pedro.

Here's the question, 99 pedro or 86 clemens?

- The Jays - 10-16-2004

I don't know, in 1986, I was watching He-Man battle Skelator's henchmen, so I missed Clemens performances.

- Galt - 10-16-2004

Pedro 99-01 simply had the greatest stretch of any pitcher ever. I know I exaggerate a lot, but compare those two years against any other in baseball. It's not even close.

- GonzoStyle - 10-16-2004

I don't agree that clemens isn't a top 10 pitcher but I do agree that 99 pedro was simply mind boggling.

- Galt - 10-17-2004

boy am I glad I jumped off the Sox bandwaggon early. What an embarrassment.

- Mad - 10-17-2004

Liar.
