What about Cain? Surely Cain is in there. He probably opened the place up. And since Jesus was neither Judas' brother nor his own sovergn nation, I don't see why Judas would be in that 9th level.
I've never read that book. What's it like? If it's only about hell and torture, I'm mad for not having read the book in my 24 years on the planet and I must run out and buy it post haste!

Well I remember brutus and judas were in the 9th level, after skimming through it brutus, judas, cassius and lucifer himself are in the 9th level and judas was guilty of "Traitors to lords and benefactors; those who set out to destroy the rightful God."
The punishment to judas, cassius and brutus is:

Some other notables are
Alexander the great and Attila who were at the 7th level of hell, they ofcourse were guilty of being war makers, their punishment is being submerged in hot blood for eternity.
Homer, Socrates, and Plato were in the first circle of hell alongside virtious pagans and unbaptized infants.
Cain would probably be in the 9th layer with Lucifer himself by that token I guess.
