Unleash hell again? - When are pointless sequels too much?
#1
There is talk about Gladiator 2 coming out in the summer of 2005 with the story taking place 15 years after maximus's death. While sounding pretty good in theory, how many good sequels that don't deal with the characters in the original movie are any good. I can't actually think of any that were, but I can think of 2 that weren't. Jaws 3 and Halloween 3, both having nothing to do with the original characters and both sucking beyond anything I've ever seen. Maybe it will be decent and surprise me though, who knows.

Sometimes I get so weird
I even freak myself out
I laugh myself to sleep
It's my lullaby

Setting a story in the same "universe" as the first could work, but they shouldn't call it "Gladiator 2". Or even have the word Gladiator in the title. Do something about one of Maximus's liutenant's becoming a general and fighting the Celts or something, but don't rehash the original with some new noble gladiator character.

i preferred mannequin 2 to the original
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

I think somethings are better left alone with one movie. Escape From New York and American Pie are two that stand out in my mind.
We're all going to Hell and I'm driving the bus!!!!
