the mets would trip over themselves to get to weaver if he was offered.
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

not the point. the point is that the mets would fall all over themselves if weaver were offered

there are far better starting pitchers available in the offseason, why would the mets want to pick up a piss poor overpaid never was in the middle of a season they've already thrown the towel in.
then again, you can't expect rational thought from a yankee fan.

yes, the mets are known for making some seriously dumb moves. the dumbest trading Lenny Dykstra and Roger Mc Dowell for Juan Samuel. my point was that they would be continuing along that dumb path if they even considered Weaver.
don't be fooled into thinking the mets are planning on sitting on the sidelines this offseason however. duquette has already stated he is looking to spend some of the money he has free'ed up unloading these big contracts on some big name free agents to complement his young squad.

Vlad will either resign with the expos or be a yankee
Tejada is having a bad year, so the mets could probably get him for cheap, and vidro would be a bum for the mets

He can't hold Seo's jock because asian men have small dinks.
The mets aren't going to get Tejada. There's a guy they've been hyping up for 3 years, like he's the 2nd coming of christ, named Reyes. Ever hear of him?
Vlad isn't going to come to a team like the mets that look like they aren't going to win for at least 3 or 4 more years. He'd rather stay a year or 2 in montreal and see what happens after that.
As for vidro, good luck.
Vos is about as funny as getting a papercut across the tip of you mule and then dipping it in lemon juice

I love all the mets fans who think not only will they get Tejada but Tejada AND Vlad.
Everyone knows the mets are cursed, every great player that goes there turns into a fuckin joke.

i didn't say the mets would get them. i said they're available. Vidro and Vlad would be the best fits on the Mets since they need more power in the OF and a 2B. I'd love to get Tejada but like previously mentioned, they have so much invested in Reyes, unless there was a way to move him to second.
bottom line is money talks, and if the mets threw enough scratch, which they've recently free'ed up quite a bit of, they would jump at the offer, mets jinx or not.

Well Vlad and Tejada are having off seasons so they'd fit in well with the Mets, since they may be starting on a downward skid.
