Me and a bunch of other kids used to hang over his house and and watch his big screen TV and play video games. He also had a pool and we'd all go swimming. I'd ride my bike around the neighborhood in my bathingsuit and a towel around my back hoping he'd see me and ask if I wanted to go swimming (I was real sly). He also used to get the dopest fireworks, and when you're 8, a guy who can get real fireworks is the coolest guy ever.
All the neighborhood kids used to hang out at his house. He had a son who was 4 years older than me, so it didn't look odd to my parents like it would have if he were just some single guy hanging out with a bunch of kids. But we all wanted to hang out with him. My brothers and I would say "We're going over to Mr. Verville's house! Not, we're going to Bobby Verville's house"
I got a little older, we got our own pool, I had my own video games, and stopped hanging out there. But there was obviously a new batch of younger kids who hung out like I did when 8.
When I was like 12 and had stopped hanging out there, He molested the kid (probably around 7 or 8) who lived accross the street from him, and it came out that he'd molested a kid like ten years earlier. Of course, the old molestation didn't come out to the neighborhood until after the second one did, since it was before they had those disclosure laws.
But he never made a move on me. What was up with that? Never even offered me alcohol.
