Who the fuck are you to say whether its good enough or not? Noone thats who. Your're nothing, just an asshole. Get off your fuckin high horse and get over yourself.:fuckoff: :fuckoff:

Max, your opinion is fine but you must admit it does suck. Try actually coming up with reasons next time.

I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

I will admit it did suck, but why post what everyone else already said? I just said what my opinion was and that is that Bonds isn't the greatest of all time.

Barry Bonds is not the greatest player of all time. Many of the reasons have already been expressed by others( including Maximus's brilliant observations. Way to go, gimp) However one thing that has not been expressed is the fact that the pitching is so watered down in baseball now. Apart from maybe 15-20 pitchers, these guys are horrible. How does Jesse Orosco still have a job? Or Mike Morgan? Even 15 years ago it was better. Expansion has hurt the sport because there is just not enough talent to go around. 15 years ago, baseball would never have gone to Japan to find talent because there was enough. I miss the days when every team had a #1 starter. Now, only the teams with the money can have good pitching staffs.

you r weak pitching theory doesnt hold water. the league batting average has been around the same number for about 40 years, plus or minus a few aberational years. since every batter hits the same pool of pitchers, then the league average should be much higher according to your theory. since it is not then you have to assume that bonds is an exceptional player regardless of the overall pitching pool.

Probably based on a majority of 18 to 25 yr olds. People will vote with whats fresh on their mind. Polls mean shit.

Wow. As if I didn't trust FOX sports polls before, well, I now regard FOX sports polls beneath my pile of dirty porno mags in the "never take seriously anything coming from them ever ever period" category.

I think the steroid variable throws a whole nother strike against Bonds being the greatest ever. Ruth did it without the benefit of muscle enhancing drugs. hell, I heard Ruth used to show up hung over quite often, now that takes real talent.
Better pitching does not make up for the lack of advantages todays hitters have. Ruth did more with less.
