Since we all have such diverse tastes in music around here, I was wondering what all of you would consider the greatest song, or songs ever written. I have a list of 5, but feel free to only include one if you wish.
 5) Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

 4) Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd

 3) Hotel California - Eagles

 2) Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin

 1) American Pie - Don McLean

sympathy for the devil, end of story

I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

My favorite song ever is Space Cadet by Kyuss; second to Better Living Through Chemistry by QOTSA, Pink Floyd-Wish You Were Here, Blind Melon-Change, and Janis Joplin(written by Kristofferson) -Me & Bobby McGee (but these frequently get changed around and switched depending on my mood at the time)

Tha greatest song ever? I couldn't even choose...it always comes down to personal taste anyway...

It was just off the top of my head, like spit said it all depends on the mood. And especially with someone like me whose taste is so vast in music as in almost everything. From classical to rap to jazz and so on. It depends on what mood I am in and what I have been listening to. Like a couple of months ago it was striclly classical: mozart, hayden, rachmaninoff, debussy, etc. Then 3 weeks ago it was jazz: Miles David, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, etc. Then within the last 2 weeks I've gone from The Beatles & Queen to Jay-Z and Tupac.

So just because I left something off doesn't mean I don't consider it a momentous recording.

But for good measure add it to the list.

RadioHead - Creep & Exit Music
