i need some help... - got a problem

so last night, i was at some porn sites, usual fare, but now, i have a problem. whenever i right click, theres an option near the bottom for ">>>XXX MOVIES<<<" and i cant get rid of it. any idea where the files for it might be? i went around on a delete spree, looking for files made today and ran clean sweep and ad aware. anybody got an idea how to get rid of it?

I'm assuming you deleted any and all cookies?

What OS are you running? On XP you can hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete and view any apps. running try to see if there is anything there you don't recognize. Another thing to do is check the bookmark section of your browser. It might be there. Finally search for any .exe files. Look for any file you do not recognize and see what folder it is in.

ok...i'm in XP. ctr alt del'ed, most of the stuff in processes that i dont recognice are weird letter things, like "fzxss.exe" or something, and theres a lot of them, and i dont look in there often enough to know all of those. cookies arent an issue, since i always visit a regular site, then porn, and delete everything until i hit my regualar. did a search for anything made in the past day, didnt see anything conspicious.

Well then I'm gonna tell you to fuck with your registry. Make a copy of it (import/export), then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt.
Under that directory key will be a couple other keys, one being the link you have. Delete the key with your program's name under the \MenuExt\ key.

In my registry key I have some links that came with my Google Toolbar and Getright program.

I am assuming the key you are looking for will be named >>>XXX MOVIES<<<

and hybrid, this is what i meant by last night. i dont leave the stuff there, i find it and get rid of it. it didnt show up until i turned my comp back on, so its keeping with what i said...get rid of all porn as soon as possible

I don't think it's the porn that you keep that might've caused the problem - it sounds like a sneaky script run by one of the porn sites you visited. You might want to change your IE settings to prompt you before it makes any unauthorized changes (like changing your start-up page, for example).

Keeping porn is good - especially if you use Direct Connect.
