The subject of nuns reminds me of a technicality of the Catholic church that has bothered me for some time.
The Catholic church does not recognize a marriage to be official until it is consummated. Part of the ritual of becoming a nun includes a wedding ceremony marrying the nun to Christ.
Now chances are Christ doesn’t get around to banging all if any of these nuns (except for maybe Sally Field when she was the Flying Nun but hey, who could blame him?). Therefore, the marriage is not official in the eyes of the church.
Amongst other problems the Catholic church needs to fix, they can add that one to the list. Maybe the Catholic Union should focus on issues inside their house instead of worrying about radio programs.
