Quote:A joke should be funny at the time. Disrespect is no joke. Lieing is not a joke. He disrespected the audence, and the producers of the rodeo, not to mention the president and the population of the United States.
The audence would have been within their rights to have beat the crap out of him. Lucily for him he got out of there.
If you think disrespect is funny then you have a lot of catching up to do. I realize this kind of stunt for "shock value" is what some of you live for. You need to get a life.
Quote:There is a difference between using as fodder those who CHOOSE a public life either through politics, signing up for a reality show, being a celebrity and all the other lives one leads in public and using as fodder people who just wanted to go to a rodeo.
Make all the jokes you want about Bush, his administration, his cabinet, or Paris Hilton or Ashlee Simpson, or anyone else intentionally in the public eye.
There should be a line drawn about respecting the lives of people who do not choose to live under such conditions. To choose to humiliate people who are only living their daily lives as best as they believe they can in that moment, for entertainment, is just completely crass and sad.
Quote:There is an overwhelming distinction between cowboys and rednecks. I'm a cowboy. I don't like rednecks. Cowboys are clean living, God fearing, America loving individuals. Most of us are the friendliest people you'd ever want to meet and will go out of our way to help others, regardless of your race or religion.
What is wrong with all of you who find this funny? Maybe you find humor in antagonizing others. Fine. But making a mockery of the Star Spangled Banner? This is an outrage and should never be tolerated.
