Bouncers at Montreal strip clubs walk you to your table, and, after you've already paid a $10/head cover charge to get in, they say "It's customary to tip the doorman". The first time it happened, I said "why". He just responded "it's customary", and I said "so you mean it's not mandatory?" and started to walk away to go to the bathroom. He actually grabbed me and stopped me and repeated it, so I gave him three coins and walked away. The neat thing was...get this. Since in montreal the smallest denomination they have is $5, it could have been $2 coins or even $1 coins. But no. Three quarters! Yeah! He can't get over on me.
