Why do you keep your away message up when you are obviously not away?

Honestly cause I am always goin back and forth here most of the day, I always seem to get an IM when I am nowhere near the comp. Then people seem to send 20 IM's anyway when I don't answer, then they get pissed and think I am ignoring them. So I just keep on away unless I know I'll be at the comp for a while.

If someone needs me or wants to talk they can IM me and I'll usually answer. But unlike with AIM I don't see the IM until I go to my AOL screen and it says I have a new IM, same with Chat invites, so people send me Invites and again think I am ignoring them.

Can I use that excuse too, because that's a really good one. I mean it's better than saying, "I don't answer you because you fucking annoy me"
