Last great president? I agree, FDR, though a strong case could be made for Ike. I also think Nixon could have been great, but his paranoia, corruption, and alcoholism prevented it.

I think the list of great presidents looks like this:

Washington
Jefferson
Jackson
Lincoln
Teddy Roosevelt
FDR

Then there are guys right on the edge, and a case could be made: Ike, Polk, Truman, Wilson.
