a tie is a win for Edwards.
his mission:
1. Don't look like Dan Quayle
2. Speak to the swing voter
3. Don't look like Dan Quayle
Republicans love Cheney's performance...b/c unfortinately, thats who he was speaking to...the choir.
Edwards, ever the trial lawyer, was trying to not turn the entire "Jury", but those few on the fence...letting Cheney get his swings. I think those "jurors" were swayed and thus his victory in connecting with swing voters.
