On a somewhat related note, my name is spelled Damian.

HedCold spelled it Damien the other night. I didn't bother correcting him as I don't really care.

is damian the normal spelling or the fancy spelling? if you google damien a lot of people come up, thats why i figured it was ok

The fancy/European spelling. Everybody spells it Damien for the most part (but I have gotten Damon before), so it doesn't bother me anymore. The only time it's a problem is on bills or official documents (i.e. my diploma).
