oh, and the difference between a salon and a barber shop is cost mostly. Barber shops go straight for the nitty gritty and get the job done at a fair price. Salons are just big conspiracies.

there is a huge difference between a stylist and a barber, not everything is a conspiracy. Same as you can get a manicure at a barber shop but when you go to one of them chink whores at the salon, they massage your hands, use the good creams and make your hands sparkle. At the barber shop they'll basically cut your nails and splash on some polish. It's worth the extra few bucks.

well, whattya know.... I never knew you could even get a manicure at a barber shop... you learn something new everyday.

I do know that salons like to talk you into getting your hair dyed and all that baloney.... they like to keep you dependent on them. They also try and push the latest 'magic' shampoo on you, too... before you know it you walk outta the place about $150. less in your pocket and your already booked an appointment to have your roots dyed in a month.
