pretty cool thing i saw in the paper today for when i get a video ipod:
In one touch iRecord™ allows you to record your favorite movies or TV shows directly to your iPod® or PSP®(PlayStation®Portable) without the hassle of a computer involved in-between. iRecord™ is a Personal Media Recorder that records video and audio data onto USB mass storage devices, including the Apple iPod and Sony PlayStation® Hook up your iRecord™ to a DVD player, VCR, TV, STB or any other analog video source, press iRecord’s record button and your favorite show will record directly to your iPod or PSP®. You can now playback the recorded contents on your favorite portable media player with no other steps involved.
iRecord™ uses state of the art patent-pending compression techniques to give you 3 hours of video/audio recording per Gigabyte of storage. It uses H.264/AVC for video encoding and AAC for audio encoding. Music only recording is supported by MP3 audio compression to be compatible with a wide variety of MP3 players.
