Scenario 1:
Bischoff sees the dislike of Austin by McMahon. In wanting to shake things up on Raw as a last ditch effort, Austin is brought back in as Bischoff's personal friend. Austin becomes the power and force behind Bischoff and helps him to fight off the McMahons. Shane and Austin get a match at No Way Out to decide who gets to be the GM of Raw with Austin fighting for Bischoff..

Bischoff loses and Shane becomes the New GM of Raw. As a first order of business, he brings back Austin and establishes himself as a baby face that wants to do what the fans want, not as a heel like Bischoff. Austin's first opponent is the former chief of staff, Morley.
