K, now i'm worried

Once I had some kind of bowel infection or collitus (sp?) or something really really bad. I shit multiple times a day for like a month straight and couldn't eat anything without it coming right out the other end shortly thereafter. It got so bad at one point I remember that I ate a small piece of romaine lettuce and not even 10 minutes later I had to shit. The only thing that came out was the same small green leaf of lettuce I had just ate. It was just floating there in the toilet (I barely chew my food). That was one time I seriously thought I was going to die. Oh and the shitting was always preceded and accompanied by severe cramps, they doubled me over they hurt so bad.
