i didn't mind the wagner for two innings thing at all. he hadn't pitched since saturday and the rest of the bullpen was awful and overused.
if willie wanted to get really kooky he could have used wagner in the 8th then heilmann in the 9th. its not like a manager will ever do that even though they should in situations when the meat of the lineup is coming up in the 8th.
also, even though endy had a big hit in the 8th, whats with benching alou this game? are they really worried about lefty righty matchups when its a pitcher like kyle lohse? or is it just because hes old and it was a day game after a night game?
