The good thing about Nissan is that you should have a Double DIN opening. So you can install one unit and a change compartment; or you could install 2 units such as cd or minidisc and the other a full Din equalizer

As for brand of EQ, I'm a Pioneer person. I've seen one that they made that had no buttons and was fullscreen with removable face.
