Played hookey and saw the 3 oclock today. Fucking outstanding. I thought Gollum looked a little more fake than he should have. In fact, I think it's funny that Gomez brought Jar Jar, because that's exactly the parallel I made, talking to my friends. I didn't much like the way the Ents looked either. The two hobbits riding on Treebeard reminded me of the driving scene from Airplane (or was it Airplane II). Once the Ents threw down and started whupping on Isengard, my opinion went way up.
Other than that, the dialog, action, eye candy, adherance to the story (and the few liberties taken), all left me with a warm fuzzy.
