Trust me.. it was Haldir. (NOTE Haldir is listed in the cast while Celeborn is not, and how many named elves were in Two Towers??) The two actors look slightly similar.. but it was clearly the actor who played Haldir.. PLUS they would NOT kill off such a from Tolkien's stories unless they were suppossed to.
