ok...i am having so much trouble adjusting to using the "precision" controller settings...i forced myself to use it for a few days and decided that i didn't like it....
it's suitable for sniping but not for the "run and gun" gamestyle that i play.

Use precision shooter controller settings. They are far superior to the other set ups. Make sure you customize them. Turn up all but the dead zone.
It does take time to get use to them, but once you do you'll be schooling those punks. For example; I was in a Handgun/Sniper game last night. One of the guys was an excellent sniper. His hit % was in the high 40's. He was talking smack about how good he was, saying he was ranked 600ish. Next map I proceed to destroy the other team with my handgun (Mark23SD), take the MVP only to be accused of cheating, again (happens many, many times to me.) God Damn I hate those whining bastards. I ask how was I cheating? No response. I don't know how to glitch, I don't own a Game-Shark or CodeBreaker so How the fuck was I cheating? My hit % was in the mid twenty's and I had 12 kills with 7 head shots. The punks all left the room. That's right, run motherfuckers! mad...i'm still trying to get used to it.....i do like the way you can switch from primary to secondary weapons by hitting L1 or L2.......i had been using the "shure shot" settings for so long that it's the only way i know how to play. i must break myself of the habit. :35:

LZ are those the settings where you can strafe from side to side with L1 and R2?

nope i think i'm using the precision shooter settings where L1 and L2 are for weapon selection .....hold on....lemme go check....yup...ok it's precision shooter. R1 is to fire your weapon and R2 is to open or close the weapon select. you straffe using the left stick and the right stick is for your view/aim.

The real problem is you play to many different types of games and have to many different gaming systems.
You've to practice, practice and practice some more. Even if it means getting your ass handed to you. Eventual, you will start to chip away at the other guy's game plan and turn things around. Can't wait for SOCOM 2. The two new games (Breech and Escort) should be lot's of fun. The spooks come out at night.

i just checked my controller presets, i have been using precision the whole time, i tried the others today and they were terrible, i can't imagine using anything else but this

crack....you're lucky. i had mine set to "sure shot" forever and now that i wanna switch the transition is difficult.
are you playing tonight?
