i gave it an MS-DOS partition with the mac. it is a shitty partition but it worked.

i found a thread about it on some site where the people were saying you can make it the harddrive HFS+ and then install a program on the pc to be able to read it.

If you want to transfer files, you won't be able to use NTFS. Format it in FAT32, or use HFS+ and install MacDrive5 on the PC to read the HFS+ formatted drive. Those are your options.

I've had some luck with -reading- NTFS, but not writing, and it looks like you wish to to both.
