I didn't like signs the first time around but I saw it on cable a little while afterwards and saw it a couple more times and I enjoyed a lot more the second time around. I went in expecting a movie like close encounters or something but when I went in already knowing what type of film it was and the style of the film maker then I enjoyed it much more.

I thought unbreakable was really good. And has much more repeat viewing power than Sixth Sense, which was a really bad, boring movie until the ending was revealed. The message I got from Signs wasn't "don't let go of your dreams and never lose faith", but that "everything happens for a reason", which is one of my least favorite platitudes of all times because it's so irrational. An ex girlfriend used to say that all the time and it just grated on me the more and more she said it.
