We had our Holiday party yesterday. We had to pay $14.00 to attend and to bring a guest we had to pay $24.00. A glass of wine was $6.25 and a mixed drink was $6.50. No bonus, no gifts. In fact our state budget is such a mess, we'll probably all be laid off next year.

Thanks, TW. It's not looking good for us out here. Nothing like a 21 billion dollar deficit in the state budget to put a crimp the job outlook and any raises we were promised last year. At least I'm not the only one... :-(

Last year I got a $600 bonus, 5% raise, fancy luncheon (free to me), bottle of champagne, assorted gift cards from various businesses we deal with, 1/3 share of all the fruit baskets, cookie platters and plants that came in.
So far this year, we had a catered party at my boss' house, poinsettias, and a box of chocolate covered strawberries to split. It's still early yet though.

We just had our departmental holiday luncheon today at Cabana at the South Street Sea Port. The company paid for $400 of it, and the two directors of the department picked up the rest of the tab as their gift to us. We're having our agency wide Christmas party on Friday at ZeyTuna's in downtown Manhattan, and from what I saw, the bill is close to $7k. Considering the fact that we're fully funded by the city, and federal government, I think its a little insane, but whatever. I've been there two years with no raise, and no raise in sight because of the fact that I'm a student, so I'll take my free food and count down the days till graduation.
At my old job, my boss would give all the assistant managers $100 for Christmas. It was a lovely sight to see....
Oh no we took it back to far

Holiday party this year is free and it's at the Mariott in mid town. Bonus i just got last week 500 bucks. We get "gifts" for employee apprecitation day but it's usual something dopey. One year it was an umbrella and this year it was a small travel bag.
