The snap traps are the best. Quick, painless (or so we like to believe). The glue traps are cruel because, as was said earlier, they suffer, chew off feet, etc. Even the "humane" traps aren't necessarily humane. My neighbor had a humane trap on the floor below his microwave. Never bothered to check it. When they redid the kitchen, they found the trap -- with a dead mouse inside. Yup, that's pretty humane.

Suck it up. Get the snap traps, put on gloves, close your eyes, pick up the trap and toss the whole thing in the garbage (outside!!).
