I love this thread. Missed it. Haven't been able to check all the links, so I don't know if these have been shown before.

the best part of the Boogie Nights clip was when Dirk seemed to zone out but was actually having a clear thought that he need to get the fuck out of there & just needed to grow a set of balls to actually get up - the look & pause of the scene has always been a fave of mine from that film.

I giggled when I got to "grow a set of balls" part, for the obvious reason.
My favorite scene is he scene with Philip Seymour Hoffman, when he tries to kiss dirk and then starts crying in his car after dirk leaves. It reminded me of the scene in Raging Bull, when deniro was in the jail cell, punching the wall and crying.
That's when I knew that Phillip was gonna be something special.

I couldn't find my favorite scene, when maximus first confronts Commodus in the "My Name Is Gladiator" scene.
So this is my second favorite.
