Veal box - Welcome to cube land.
#1
A while back, I relaid a comment that a friend made to me: he refered to cubes as veal boxes. I agreed whole heartedly. When I was in high school and college, I was outside a lot. I exercised, worked outside, just generally moved a lot. Now I am a tool, excuse me, the company's term is resource, I sit in my cube for 8-12 hours a day stared blank-eyed at a computer screen. I cannot move (striken by fear if I walk by my bosses' offices), I get no sunlight, and I live a sad, boring live. Since I don't move (and don't have time to exercise) my muscles atrophy. I except Arpi will provide the proper spelling. I sit here sadly bah-ing waiting for the butcher's axe to spare me from my miserable existance.

And that is why cubes are called veal boxes.

I agree, as well.

I'm seriously considering taking up some type of physical hobby. But, because I've become so accustomed to sitting on my ass all day, I just don't have the energy to do so. It's trully kind of sad. We bust our butts to get into a position where we don't have to do manual labor for a living, and then we get all out of shape because all we do is sit on our assess and drink soda or coffee all day.

Maybe I should take up Chair-Aerobics. ;-)

I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

At the very least, your chair and the area of the floor directly below you will thank you :thumbs-up:

have you tried groundhogging to break up the boredom? give a quick yell and count how many heads pop up from the cubicles
