Mistaken Identity
#1
Quote:LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Reuters) -- The grandmother of a 15-year-old accident victim shocked the funeral for her grandson's friend when she recognized her own grandson in the open casket, authorities said Tuesday.

Stephanie Hylemon noticed it was Jeremy Hylemon, and not 16-year-old John Grubs Jr., who died in the July 31 car accident, Meade County Sheriff's Deputy William Sego said.

The body was due to be cremated after Saturday's service.

Grubs' family, who had misidentified the boy's body, rushed to a local hospital where Grubs, not Hylemon, lay unconscious in critical condition from injuries suffered in the crash.

Dental records were subsequently used to confirm the identity of the dead youth, a spokesman for the Jefferson County coroner's office said.

Wrong boy!

thats like the time i jumped into bed with maynerd and when i pulled back the covers it was alkie. how we laughed!!
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

Eh... Can't get the link to load, but how is it that the one family whose son was actually in the hospital didn't notice which one was there in the average two-three days it takes to get to the funeral?

The news story failed to mention that the grandmother was 42 and had been taking care of the boy since her mother ran away 14 1/2 years ago.

Still... she doesn't go to the hospital before the other funeral to visit who she thought was her grandson?

Weird story. Undecided
