what is the best show on TV?
#1
Should make for an interesting poll, I was discussing this a couple days ago at work with some people and figured it would be interesting.

Basically pick 5 shows that you simply must see, the shows have to be current shows. Can't be shows that are not making anymore episodes in the future like friends or Oz. Can't be a sports show like wrestling or monday night football, etc. Can be on network or cable. Has to be a TV show, not a mini-series.

Top shows by nominees will be put in a poll later this week. Depending on the amount of nominations i'll decide how many make it in.

Doesn't have to be in any order.

1. The Shield (FX)
2. Monk (USA)
3. Chappelle's show (Comedy Central)
4, Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO)
5. The Sopranos (HBO)

greg the bunny on dvd
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

Figures you'd be the one to not be able to follow the rules, though I had Galt pegged for the position.

I really watch very little television, but I always try to catch:

1. Lost
2. South Park
3. Monster Garage
4. Bullshit
5. Adult Swim

I'd really like to not include talk shows or interview type shows like best week ever, conan, etc. I mean TV shows situation comedies, dramas, etc.

I'm on the fence with the daily show, it really shouldnt count by the standards, so it has to go otherwise i'd have included bill maher to be honest but it's a talk show. Reality shows are ok though.

Plus keep it to 5 picks, thanks.

Lost
Wifeswap
Real World / Road Rules Challenge
The Apprentice
Sopranos

Bullshit is an awesome show, but like Ali G and some others, it's just never ever on, so I don't really know if they qualify. If they, do, they'd both me on my list.

I never watch Arrested Development, but everyone I know raves about it.

I watch shows that cater to the lowest common denominator and I'm fine with it.

1. Curb Your Enthusiasm
2. Sopranos
3. Carnivale
4. Law and Order (SVU and Criminal Intent)
5. Entourage

Technically, I only watch cable shows because I never catch Law and Order on Network TV. Regular television is truly pathetic.

Deadwood, Six feet Under, Carnivale, and the rest of the HBO shows, I haven't watched a single episode. I'm always afraid to watch something and then I get hooked and have to keep watching. Also, none of them really seemed interesting based on the promos.

Ali G is (was -- kinda tailed off near the end) amazing. Sopranos sucked for the last couple years, but last year was real good, so I'm interested again, Entourage was "eh"
