election aftermath

Looks like Virginia might be going to Kerry. I told my Republican co-worker this morning that Kerry would take VA, and he laughed and said no chance. Then I bet him a hundred bucks that Kerry would win the whole thing. Motherfucker better not bitch out...

Argh, can't they just project the winner of New York, California, and New Jersey already? It's not like it's gonna be close or anything.

freerepublic is just astonishing.

I'm turning off my TV. I will rely only on Freerepublic, FoxNews.com, and Rush Limbaugh's "The Way Things Ought To Be" blaring in my headphones.

My bung is so tight right now, you couldn't pull a well oiled cotter pin out of it with a tractor trailer.

smart move

I had my TV off all day long.

the internet is a much better source of data.

I really don't watch TV much at all anymore either. FR has become my primary news source.

I just looked at the TV and got really scared. Even watching Fox News was bad. I think they are doing it for ratings. Bush will win. Just keep praying and stay with us!!!!!

The darkside is worried too- from the election thread:

2. I think I'm going to puke.

25. me too

Deep breaths and the mantra:

President Kerry... President Kerry... President Kerry... President Kerry...

13. Take a break...
I walk away from the television every time it gets to be too much (I know I've reached this point when I feel like I'm going to start crying). I feel your pain, believe me!

Hang in there...
<
And apparent winner is:

18. That's how I feel too!

Like the keys to you brand new mercedes just fell down the drain sewer grate and you need to be best man at your best friends wedding in 45 minutes!

Please God of all iilegal drugs - have mercy on my soul!!

what is the name of the god of all illegal drugs?

i am thinking new contest!!
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

I'm going to work drunk and sleep deprived tomorrow...I'm 3/4 done with my bottle of Beam Black and still got some Chimay...

So far, everything has gone as expected...red states went red, blue states went blue, battleground states are fighting it out. Penn and Ohio will probably go Kerry...Florida will be close again...Democrats are starting to panic on the web, they need to remember the west coast states and their combined 77 electoral votes. Focus on the battleground states, and maybe hope for an upset in the southwest...

Fox seems to be a bit slower on the uptake, it takes them an extra 10 minutes or so to declare states than CNN.

CNN now has it 197-188 for bush with a huge jump for kerry after being given california and its 53 electoral votes.
