I know you guys used a softball field up north around Union City, maybe Pat can help me out with this. How did you go about getting permission to play there and who did you need to contact?

ive called the union city one and it doesnt seem right. theres a long waiting list and you have to put up some ridiculous insurance. what im trying to do is find out who booked the field last time and talk to them directly about how they set it up.

its called a PM. use it.
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you. GonzoStyle Wrote:I pledge my undying love for Arpi, any retraction of this undying love is to be ignored. Nominated for," 2005 poster of the year", by 4 out of 6 mods!

Look, if you're city doesn't have a parks office, then just go show up at the field the day you want to have your event, and kick everyone else off the field. When the Parks Department shows up, accuse them of being plants, and explain the story about how this town doesn't even have an office to pick up an application, thus, the park city property must be free to all, with no license or permits. When they explain that that is not true, call the police. Tell them that the people are impersonating city personnel, and that they have weapons. When the cops show up, explain to them that there is no parks department office. When the cops arrest you, make sure you smash your face into the ground, preferably on a rock, near your eye. Hopefully, the scene you have made will have caused some attention, and someone with a camera snaps your bloodied soiled face being shoved into the back of the police car, so that the story the next day will be that the police department beat you up for using a city field, and that when you tried to explain that the parks department has no office, they beat you up. In two years, the Parks Department will have a prominent office somewhere so that you can check and see the queue for the field. Fill out a permit application, and you should be able to hold your scheduled game in August 2007.

Say you want to have a permit for a church group or fair for some underpriveledged crippled kids. It's not like they're going to kick you out later.

It was Union NJ, not Union City. There are 2 parks in Union City and the spics will be playing baseball from now until September.
