My girlfriend watches this stuff almost religiously. I can't get into it, nor do I see how this is a sport. But it may also be that I don't understand any card games other than BlackJack.

World series of poker is great stuff.

The guy who won this year entered the tournament through a $40 satellite tournament online, and ended up winning 2.5 million bucks. Not a bad 5 day investment.

they constantly replay all the wsop tourneys on the travel channel. Mostly the same guys make it to the finals every year, so it can't be all luck.

no...the travel chanel has the "world poker tour" which has nothing to do with the world series...its just other big-buy in tournaments. Thats fun to watch too though.
