So, I rarely listen to the radio, and I haven't bought a CD in years and years, so I'm not really a music afficionado at all....
But... whenever I come accross Outkast songs, I like them. They've been around for a while, right? I seem to remember their name being around for a while.
Me not listening to the radio is a good thing because I never get annoyed with songs that are overplayed. Thus, I am currently a fan of Hey Ya! by Outkast.
Are they good, or do I have zero taste when it comes to music?

Some of their stuff is ok, lyrically they can be very good but I don't dig their arrangments and style.

One word...
Southernplayallisticadillacmusic.
Get it. Get it now.
Outkast it probably the only rap group that you can listen to their CDs from start to finish without skipping a track. There's just congruity that is unrivaled in the hip-hop world.

I'm a fan.
I hold the dubious honor of being the only person never modded who has also never been to a party who in the past had a shared account with a vegetable reference that has had consensual sex with a woman who wasn't from the board that also knows what >) means and remembers the end of the golden age.

Phew. Sleeper's approval is enough.
PS. Kazaa officially sucks now. Even moreso since I'm not a direct connect/Newsgroup/IRC geek. The record companies have been able to flood the system with mis-named songs, broken songs, looped songs, songs that become feedback 15 seconds in, it sucks. It takes like 25 tries to find one song

Like em or Hate em I think everyone would admit that Outkast doesn't follow trends or try to adapt their music so it suits everybody's tastes.
I personally really dig the double-solo album, it is disappointing that they won't both go out on tour though, would've been great.
Outkast also has made some of the best club bangers, to this day "Rosa Parks" can give even the deadest of places jumping.
