I get called an "ultra-liberal" often by people like Hoon all the time because I think Dubya is the worst president ever. But I'm really not, not that there is anything wrong with it. I'm against gun control. I'm against Political Correctness. I'm against blind taxation.

But I'm also against the president doing stupid things that hurt the people of his country. And pretty much everything he's done has hurt the people of this country.

So here's one more.

What I don't like about Bush is he is a liar. He lies about being a conservative. He pawns himself off as conservative, yet somehow spending is at an all-time high, civil liberties are curtailed, the federal government keeps expanding its powers, he treats the entire judicial branch of government like an impediment rather than a necessary ingredient of democracy and republicanism, he switches his reasoning for going to war mid-way through when previous claims can't be substantiated, and on top of it all, he has yet to bring Bin Laden to justice, even though he said he would.

His administration can't keep their mouths closed when they should, and lets them get away scot free, nor do they pay attention to important memos like ones entitled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US" when they come around. To him, it's more important to have a good photo op than to actually get things done, and even 4 monthes later, can't help out Katrina victims when they need it. And his dog is funnier than he is.

Now, maybe you weren't around on the board when the US first went to war with Iraq, just about every single member, except Sir O, was gung ho about it. I sat in a bar with Gonzo, Goaty, Sleeper, and everyone, while we watched the "Shock and Awe" take place, and we cheered. We trusted the president, he said they had weapons, they were a threat, they were connected to Al Queda, and they had WMDs. A month later, the Mission Accomplised banner was unfurled, and we were all caught with our thumbs up our asses, wondering what mission had been accomplished. Three years later, we're still wondering when exactly the mission will finally be accomplished.
