I went and asked the guys for a consensus on this in my shop.
Sunroof is opaque and metal. Moon roof is transparent. The shade I mentioned that I had in my Stanza was just bonus sweetness.

Every single one I've seen opens fully and some even have the option of tilting the back part up to vent. Yours must be broken or just lame.

Only partial opening tinted with a slider, sounds like a moonroof.

Yeah, that works just fine until you get pulled over by some horned up pig looking for a number. Once you're found out to be something different, hello tossed car.

I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
