He obviously sold his soul to the devil for baseball skills
His last year in the league, he got hit in the jaw with a pitch and bled all over home plate. Then he got glaucoma, then he had a stroke and died. All three completely unrelated.

So my three things, plus his wife outed him as a wife beater, and he also was arrested as a molester.
Basically in the last 10 years he's had the worst life ever. I'd rather be living in Abu Girab.
