The brilliance of Sergio Leone, the emphasis on the ritualistic preperation to violence, more so than the actual act of violence itself, the honor of it, building then tension till the kettle is about to burst.

I am not a fan of, and actually I passionately dislike David Carradine but this scene is just awesome, the dialouge is classic tarantino, it just oozes with coolness.

I just saw that scene yesterday. Flipping channels and found the movie too late.
That is such a well-scripted scene. I'm not familiar with anything else Carradine has been in, but his presence and delivery in this was pretty kickass.

My thing with him is the fact that he's basically just the white guy born in cali whose claim to fame was playing a chink on TV. In a series that was developed by Bruce lee and was supposed to star him but in their infinite wisdom, he was too chinky to play a chink. Yet Carradine acts like he's dennis hopper, marlon brando and christopher walken, all rolled into one and is to be worshipped as this godlike persona who sits on the throne of the kingdom of cool. Only Michael Madsen could get away with shit like that.
Yet until Kill Bill, he had yet to do anything even remotely awesome or even bordering on "eh".
And anyone can pretty much look fuckin awesome when he's delivering lines from a tarantino script.
