... can you safely delete font files? Over the years it seems I've accumulated way too many fonts and I just don't use them anymore.

What I was wondering is.. can I remove a lot of my "courier" family fonts? Or is this something the operating system is going to look for and turn up an error screen if it can't find them?

How many fonts does a pc actually need?

you can delete them - they just wont appear as selections in any applications you use that also use text (like Word for example).

I have a strange question that someone might be able to answer...

recently, i've been trying to connect to google at the regular address, but instead i'm fowarded to a website called "cpanel", and it says "no website configured at this address". Same thing applies to the altavista search engine, but these are the only two pages that I can't connect to. I've tried deleting cookies and temporary files and certificates in IE explorer, but it still keeps forwarding me to the same shit. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, you downloaded a program along the lines of gator. it changes all your ie settings. it's really annoying and if you go to cpanel.com or something along the lines of that, they should have a way to disable/uninstall.

yeah i recently had some bullshit like that on my browser. And i downloaded search and destroy and i couldn't believe all the crap i had on this computer

cpanel is a web hosting control panel... can be found @ cpanel.net... i doubt they're the ones behind the browser hijack, as they are a very reputable company. and if you're using IE, dont. try Opera (<!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.opera.com">http://www.opera.com</a><!-- w -->). and chances are, you're probably also using outlook or outlook express for email... don't. try Thunderbird (<!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.mozilla.org/projects/thunderbird/">http://www.mozilla.org/projects/thunderbird/</a><!-- w -->).
