most ingame server apps suck - and they're not usually very descriptive. ASE is the Trillian of online gaming. They also have an irc room, #ASE I think, that (most times) if you're having issues, someone there can help you out - and they also give scanner network notifications (if its up or down, slow, etc.). Lat time I checked, gamespy didn't do any of that.

I agree, I played in on the xbox for 15 minues and I hated it - it's 1000 times better on the PC.

I'm playing Line of Sight - Vietnam right now...I have 2 real major complaints with it. Number 1 is that it's either so hard you can't stay alive more than 10 minutes or it's so easy you never die. and number 2 is that the terrain isn't very canopy jungle like and the AI has unlimited vision I think.

the PC just offers more variables - it's easier to snipe, easier to scroll through weapons, easier to team chat and give orders, etc.

I finally rented SOCOM, it's a rather fun game to my surprise. I hate all these games usually but I am stuck on one friggin mission, it is so early in the game I won't even say cause you will all mock and laugh at me.

I been playing it for 5 days now tho and still excited with it. I like the sniper rifle a lot but I am too drawn to the Kalishnikov classic.

Gonzo, use the SR-25SD if you like to snipe in single player.

Single player can be fun, but it pales in comparison to the on-line game play.

If you ever get Broad-Band and would like to play give us a holler.

It'd be awesome if we could really get some clan matches going against some of the others out there.
