As I get older, my taste in cars gets older as well. I have a 85 thunderbird that I was in the process of restoring and then decided after the accident that I hate the fuckin car now. My next car will be a 75 Camero. Growing up, I hated sports cars for the most part, I mainly wanted trucks. Now, though, since I live near so many god forsaken parkways, I have decided to go with cars but I am not paticularly impressed with newer models.

See, this ^^^ is what I'm talking about. I no longer need to have the fastest car. In fact, I don't even want a fast car. Just one that can get out of its own way, when it needs to. The way I see it, a fast car is only greater temptation to drive fast. And, driving fast costs lots of money in insurance fees, and tickets.

it took me 4 years of suspensions, 6 court dates, and $3000 in fines and attorney fees to get my license back after a stupid youth. Truer words have never been spoken.
Have a great day!

I have a Nissan Pathfinder LE, fully loaded, right now. I'm looking to get a classic convertible next, like a GTO or something. I'm not really interested in any models out now so i'm thinking of kicking it old school. Theres a great place down here in Jersey called Golden Age Cars I want to check out.

Keyser, be careful of the classic car dealers...
They can't be trusted, and they jack the shit out of the prices...
Try Hemmings motor news for a private sale...

Up until a month ago I was driving a 95 Continental. More toys than you could imagine, car could drive itself. At my age, I like toys and comfort. Ladi broke my door and lost American flags when she put the windows down so I had to get rid of it. I now drive an Edie Bauer Explorer. Nice riding 4X4 with the toys.

Well...it's not just classic car dealers....used car dealers do the same thing. You may never know the real history of your new used car.

i think my car's on it's last legs :disappointed: when it does eventually die and i push it into the east river i think i'll be relying on the mta for a while. unless of course i win the lottery or actually get a high enough paying job to pay off my debts, then i'd buy a car again. it would probably be a used honda because they're cheap, get good gas mileage and i've seen two people total them and walk away. in fact, after my b/f took out one and a half telephone poles with his accord, they managed to still drive it but the insurance company said it was totalled. ideally i'd like an s2000 but i by the time i can afford one i'll probably be wanting that nice comfortable family car, ok, actually that's highly unlikely.
no offense, but as a whole i don't trust american cars too much. ford in particular, mustangs being the exception, i've never known anyone who had one and didn't have a ton of problems. my sister got a focus when they first came out and the transmission went out on her way home from the dealership. they actually had the nerve to say, oh ok, we can fix that for you. needless to say she demanded they give her a brand new one.
so, where was i? i don't know. i'll just stop babbling now. oh, manual transmission, i can't drive automatics, they piss me off.

but then you won't be CRX girl anymore
as far as checking history on used cars, carfax.com is pretty good but i'm sure they don't know everything about the car.

I happen to agree with this. I feel American vehicles are put together cheaply (quick & dirty).
My first Jeep was a Jeep Grand Cherokee (the year they changed the body style) and I lemon lawed it because of the transmission(it would get hung up in over-drive in 2nd gear) but Jeep still won because in order to ditch that Jeep I had to get another Chrysler product.

Chrysler is by far the worst for that shit...
And quite frankly...
After AMC...Jeeps fucking suck.
