Tablet PCs - I gotta get me one of these

So for my computer interaction class, we are doing a project with tablet PCs and So we got to borrow one from the professor A am posting this by writing in a window that translates my handwriting into that and puts it in the post box. These things are only like $100 more than a regular laptop. So I think wherever it is I get a new laptop I'll get ore of these.

Anyone ever use/own one?

for my pervasive computing class my professor and some of the kids in there had one becaue they were part of a seperate side project thing. when i had to do a presentation we put the powerpoint on his tablet that was hooked up to the projector. pointing on to the files to select them was definitly something you had to get used to, as it didn't feel to precise. the newer models probably are better for that, i hope
