so, why would a national league team sign piazza? he is useless as a catcher.
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

the only teams the mets played that ever tried to run on them were the marlins and the braves, because they actually had base stealers.
in the nl west, besides dave roberts who is on the padres, who else steals alot of bases that thats going to be a big problem? the padres have a pretty bad lineup that even a brokendown piazza will improve.
