Need Input - Anyone know a good show?
#1
My friend's birthday is coming up and I would like to take her to see a show...but I don't know what to take her to see. We've already seen:

Miss Saigon
Cabaret
Rocky Horror
The Dinner Party

Anyone know a good show?

Thanks.

At the risk of a bashing...
Beauty and the Beast was very funny and entertaining.

Hmm...Rent..I was thinking of that...

On a non-birthday gift related note, has anyone seen De LaGuarda (sp)? I really want to see that but I don't know anyone who has....

And I was supposed to go to Medival Times for my b-day last year but my best friend was in the hospital so we cancelled my birthday party.....is it really fun?

Medivel Times is actually a pretty good place to go and see a show. Good food, good fights, can't beat that.

I hate tourist, so I generally make a point to stay away from the big touristy shows like Lion King and Les Mis, but if that's what your friend is in to, then go with that.

Personally, I'd go with something like Chicago or Cabaret (I dig Bob Fosse shows) because they are pretty fun and not too stuffy. Most people like Rent, it's essentially a remake of La Boheme, and a pretty damn good one.

Otherwise, try one of the smaller shows, like Batboy. And if you could kill someone and get their Producers tickets, go with that

And now you all think I'm a flaming homo for knowing about theatre...great, just friggin great :running at mouth:

Your pocket Bible will stop an assailant's bullet, but not before it passes through four innocent bystanders, a school-bus gas tank, and your genitals.

I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

I strongly recomend
Les Miserables
and
Phantom

Phantom has some astounding stage effects and Les Mis is just a pwerful story.. plus both are ending their Broadway runs soon as I understand it, so you should see them now while you can.
