Holiday songs - songs you look forward to hearing
#1
Well, Holiday season (obviously) is upon us. Now is the time for over-commercialization of most everything.

Having said that, there are some holiday songs I look forward to hearing on the radio, most of which don't feel the same any other time.

My list:
Christmas Wrapping - the Waitresses
Santa Claus is coming to town (Bruce Springsteen)
Little Drummer Boy - Joan Jett & the Blackhearts
and Happy Xmas (war is over) John Lenon (OK - this one I can listen to all year).

:poke:

Red Water (Christmas Mourning)
Type O Negative
Wake up, it's Christmas mourn
Those loved has long since gone
The stockings are hung but who cares
Preserved for those no longer there
Six feet beneath me sleep

Black lights hang from the tree
Accents of dead holly

Whoa mistletoe
(It's growing cold)
I'm seeing ghosts
(I'm drinking old)
Red water
Red water
Red water chase them away

My table's been set for but seven
Just last year I dined with eleven
God Damn ye merry gentlemen

Whoa mistletoe
(It's growing cold)
I'm seeing ghosts
(I'm drinking old)
Red water
Red water
Red water chase them away

Funny thing, every voice coach I've ever had uses that song as an example of how NOT to sing
